Senior Wireless Sensor Network Engineer

The Network Software Engineer will be responsible to design, simulate, develop and test IoT network solutions for new and legacy embedded products achieving a low power, scalable and reliable indoor and outdoor wireless sensor network operating at 2.4GHz using a proprietary time synchronized protocol to connect devices to measure and monitor data and behavior.

Tasks:

• Develop protocols and prototypes in current and emerging IoT areas.
• Further development and maintain current IoT wireless sensor network solution operating at 2.4GHz with a time synchronized proprietary protocol
• Interact with Universities / Companies for potential new solutions and/or new feature or technologies
• Simulate network solutions prior development / integration within devices
• Develop / Integrate within resource constrained embedded devices the proposed design, both on nodes as on infrastructural devices (gateways, anchors)
• Interact with HW team on RF related topics
• Laboratory and field testing
• Documentation of the designed solution
• Deployment, in-field monitoring and follow up on issues / feedbacks
• Field Application Engineers training on the designed solution

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in network research and / or development
• Excellent wireless sensor network communication background including all system and link level aspects
• Experience on IOT, LPWAN, LoRaWan LoRa , PHY/MAC Layer firmware
• Setup a hardware-in-the-loop testing environment, program network/radio devices, test and evaluate the performance of the developed algorithms and protocols. Knowledge of IoT Operating Systems is a plus (RIOT, TinyOS, Contiky)
• Experience on communication system simulation or network simulation
• Excellent Programming language knowledge, such as Matlab, C/C++, is required
